In the upcoming months we will be publishing various articles provided to us by Nolo. The articles we chose are meant to be informative for the general public and we hope will provide individuals with free much needed legal information. Nolo was c0-founded by Ralph “Jake” Warner who was a legal aid lawyer, serving low-income families in the San Francisco Bay area. Frustrated by having to turn away working people who didn’t qualify for free legal aid but couldn’t afford lawyers, Warner and colleague Ed Sherman began writing do-it-yourself legal guides. After numerous publishers rejected them, Warner and Sherman began publishing the books themselves. When personal computers came along, Nolo started developing software. And when the Internet arrived, Nolo created a website that offered free information, online document preparation, and useful links.
Respecting Nolo’s goal of “making America’s legal system accessible to everyone. ” Olea LLP is thrilled to offer our readers and clients some of their valuable resources.
Katy Sheehan and Charlene Quincey of Olea LLP are also listed in the Nolo directory. If you are interested in learning more about us as attorneys we suggest you check out our profiles. Nolo personally screens all attorneys on their directory to reassure the public that all attorneys listed are in fact lawyers and are in good standing with their respective bar association. We are thrilled to be a part of the Nolo directory and hope that you will find their website as useful as we have!
